The Belvedere at Waldershare Park in Kent is a grand, imposing but most of all dilapidated folly that has definitely seen better days. It's a Grade I listed building, and plans have been mooted for its renovation and conversion to residential or 'hotel' use, but the wait goes on. Will it collapse, or will it survive? It was constructed in the early 18th Century for a sum of £1700, but the cost of saving it might just be few pennies more than the original cost Smiley

Interior shots taken March 2011. The dome is the ceiling of the ground floor viewed from above - a flat floor would have covered this at the level it is seen from.
